US History and Government Regents Review Class (IN-PERSON)

The US History & Government Regents exam tests students on their knowledge of facts as well as their ability to understand historical docunments within context and draw connections between different events to form an analysis. This 2.5-hour course will focus on strategies for the multiple choice section and how to complete the writing responses according to the grading rubric.
This course will focus on:
- How to plan your writing responses, ensuring you're fulfilling each requirement of the response
- Transition words and keywords to use when writing each of these types of responses: Cause and Effect; Similarity/Difference; Turning Point
- Testing strategies for the multiple choice section
- Most-often tested historical concepts
